We are overrun with coyotes in lower Alabama. No special license is required to hunt them other than your normal hunting license. There is no bag limit or special season - it's open season on coyotes year round.

We are awakened nearly every night by their incessant howling (our basset hound chimes right in with them). No bounty is offered though - too bad.

I kinda like their howling at times. There's certainly something primal about it that scares the crap outta visitors to "the stix." They certainly think they've accomplished something if I set them up in a tent outside....kiddies think they survived The Blair Witch Camping Trip!
