I totally agree... some marriages that end in divorce don't have to. It takes a daily effort to make it work. My wife and I were briefly separated this summer and I thought we were going to get a divorce, but thankfully we worked it out. I think sometimes people just don't try. They don't want to make the effort.

Many people marry for the wrong reasons. Most,nowadays,don't want to work at it,which is childish! Marriage takes hard work,from both parties and in this disposable society,with several generations having been brought up on the moronic instant gratification bilge Dr.Spock spewed,many physical adults remain children.

Good for you and your wife...you both made the effort and it's paid off! I wish you both a long and happy marriage and a life filled with joy. :-)
