They certainly used to be. Until 50 years ago, years ago, Palestine was 1/3 Christian, as it had been since the muslim invasions of the 7th century. It wasn't a picnic, but through thick and thin those communities survived. The Christian exodus from the holy land (which is making the johhni-come-lately Jews less safe, btw) has been accelerated by the pervasive semi-official Israeli disdain for the rights of the descendants of the first Christians.

... pervasive semi-official Israeli disdain for the rights of the descendants of the first Christians.... You mean the holy crusaders left some of those?

. Until 50 years ago, years ago, Palestine was 1/3 Christian, as it had been since the muslim invasions of the 7th century. First off it is ISRAEL not Palestine.
Second the Christian Population has dwindled due to the areas they live have fallen under Muslim control due to pressure caused by the Vatican.
Third lose the retarded tagline because it is well known that on the Sabbath if an emergency happens it is Jewish law to break the Sabbath to deal with it. While in the Muslim world if a law from the Holy Koran is broken it is certain death.
So you really enjoy being a Dhimmi?

the johhni-come-lately Jews Stating the obvious, there were Jews in Israel long before there were Christians there.
has been accelerated by the pervasive semi-official Israeli disdain for the rights of the descendants of the first Christians.
Again, not a breath of mention of the role the Arab Muslims played in driving out the Arab Christians.

Also keep in mind that 100 years ago the Christians had no where to go. The West would not have taken Arabs in (Christian or not).
