Yes, but the article made reference to malls' doing a "12 Days" blitz from Dec. 13 onward. I was just trying to humorously point out that malls obviously don't care about the meaning or proper timing of the 12 days because they start the Christmas ad blitz way back in October now.

That explains it, thanks. I spent 10+ years in the Old calendar Greek Orthodox and we always celebrated on the 7th (and on the 25th somewhat too- to please the kids). I've since returned to the Roman Catholic Church, and the "new" calendar.
