I think there was a muslim connection to Tim McVey, but he did not need them to learn about ammonium nitrate and fuel oil. This has been used for years in mining operations. It has also been used by farmers for such things as stump removal - drill a hole or two, pack with ammonium nitrate/diesel fuel use a dynamite cap and boom, no stump. Farmers have it routinely available for fertilizer use. And until Oklahoma City anyone could buy it by the 50 lb bag. I used it to melt ice - works better than salt or calcium chloride, and it does not hurt the grass when it gets washed off walks or drives.
As for the muslim connection, Klintoon and Kompany did not want us to know that it was anything other than some "right-wing kook" responsible. Before there was any investigation of the remains of the building, they had it bulldozed.
It is not unrelated to Waco. There they murdered innocent people. If they wanted David Koresh, why not arrest him on one of his frequent trips to town? No, they planned it as an operation to wipe out that whole Branch Davidian community.
