Looks like Newsweek has found its demographic: whacko left-wing Democrats.

Was Gonzales responsible for Teddy Kennedy getting off without a manslaughter charge after killing Mary Jo Kopechne?

It is a way to get at the President through Gonzales's testimony...They will start posturing about the Attorney General lying before the Senate...

BINGO... that is the posturing that is taking place by saying Gonzales was at least partially untruthful in his testimony before the Committee.

When you receive a jury summons, you don't know if you will be selected nor which case you will hear, do you? I didn't when I was called.
Just looking for anything to get back at GWB.......I wish they would GET ONER IT!!!

"Now here is a scandal. GW Bush used an expired coupon at the Austin Piggly Wiggly in 1987."

Exactly ... the only reason the MSM is attacking Bush is that he's a Christian.

How did Bush, or anybody else, know what case he would be a potential juror on? What do they know that I don't. Each time I've received a jury summons I have no idea what, if any, case i'll be called up on.

Bingo! I think you just blew a hole in their so-called 'news story'. The jury pool and jury cases are matched up on the day you serve on a jury.

Check this out.

Now that the National Guard records story went nowhere, the MSM is going to revive this old garbage.

They never even touched a host of Clinton scandals but can't let go of old Bush stories.

This is used as a backhanded slap to the President but its main emphasis is to discredit Gonzales's testimony before the Committee..

And that is what happened. He showed up and got selected for this court case. Then was dismissed prior to selecting the eventual jury out of the pool.

I wish they'd put is a 15 day waiting period before Liberals could buy aluminum foil. Might cut down on the number of whack-job conspiracy theories.

The lamestream seems to have a deathwish.

Not content in trashing the President at every turn during the campaign cycle and subsequently losing most of their credibility, they now seem determined to lose every last shred of it.

Wow...and here I had told my sister's husband last summer to be on the lookout for the DUI story to be revived during the campaign. I guess they didn't get the chance so now it is being resurrected against Gonzales.

Russert has John Kerry on exclusively next Sunday. I can't wait for the probing Tim will do of the charges the Swift Vets raised that Kerry's campaign had to acknowledge, like Christmas in Cambodia. And when Tim brings up Kerry's visits to Paris to meet with the enemy it should be fascinating journalism. Of course, we can count on Tim to have Kerry explain his rationale for opposing the Vietnam war and his "testimony" before congress and his membership in the VVAW. And since substance abuse is the topic of the moment, perhaps Tim will invite Kerry to list what illegal drugs he has used ever. Oh! I know...Tim will for sure ask Kerry what and when he knew about Sandy Berger stealing documents from the National Archives!

Thousands of people figure out ways to escape jury duty every week.

It must be frightening to be tried before 12 people who were too stupid to find a way out of jury duty! < /sarcasm >
