TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Three gay couples Tuesday dropped their lawsuits challenging the federal Defense of Marriage Act, saying they do not want to risk having a conservative U.S. Supreme Court set precedent by rejecting their case.
The lawsuits were brought by gay couples who were wedded in Massachusetts and Canada and wanted Florida to recognize their marriages. Florida law recognizes only marriages between a man and a woman, and the Defense of Marriage Act allows states to disregard gay marriages performed in other states and foreign countries.

Translation: They want to move out of the 11th DCA and to the 9th Circus.
The homosexuals are going to avoid challenging the fed DOMA for four years because overturning the DOMA WILL make the FMA impossible to stop.

Tyler said her group's attention will now be focused on changing individual state laws to allow marriage between same-sex couples and other legal challenges in less conservative districts. The group is also battling efforts to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban same-sex marriages.
"You pick your battles, but you continue fighting," Tyler said. "We understand it's a matter of time....Love always wins."
The Rev. Nancy Wilson, one of the participants in the lawsuits, said she agreed with the decision. She was seeking to have her Massachusetts marriage to Paula Shoenwether recognized by Florida.
Wilson, a minister in the Metropolitan Community Church, a nationwide church for gay Christians, said she will continue to fight Florida's gay marriage ban in other ways.
"Strategy is important," she said. "We know this issue will come before the Supreme Court one day and I believe when it does we will be victorious."
This is all about attacking marriage. It is also worth noting that Elis Rubin is a PR hound so it is very likely this is a rejection of Rubin just as much as tactics.
Rubin is the originator of the "telivision made me do it defense." Ironic he would support the "born that way" myth too. It is probably not his fault he is that dense either.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.
See, there is occasional good news. We must never, ever give up fighting the promotion and acceptance of evil.
Never.
Let me and DirtyHarryY2K know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

Well good news for the moment. They are just backing off for the moment on the federal level.

They are not backing off. They are getting rid of Elis Ruben Esq. The homosexuals NEVER wanted Rubin involved in their cases since he has a bad reputation as a PR hog.
They also know that FL and the 11th (having upheld no homosexual adoption laws) will not be likely to rule in their favor.
Rubin is the "TV made me do it" originator.
The homosexuals just folded this hand rather than risk the whole game.
YOUR MUST read this with the recent use of Sponge Bob to promote homosexuality to children.
ALL are tied together.

forgot to add.
This only shows that for the homo-advocates the state level IS the federal level. They want to use one state to impose on all states.

You're right about them being tied together. I've been following the Sponge Bob thing too. It disgusts me that they want my kids, over my dead body! I wasn't keen on Nickelodeon once they started having Rosie the ODonnell host the NickTunes Awards (or whatever they call it). We don't listen to that type music so our kids never were watching her. Now Nick has a little commercial/time filler type thing where they talk about flatulation and tell the kids to "make their farts count" or something similar to that. No one here can remember the exac t wording right now. You would never have talked about that when I was a kid much less have seen it on tv. We're seeing an even more immoral and crude generation come up than I would have ever imagined.
Anyhow I got off topic a bit there.Sorry.
Have you been to this thread?
Proof discovered of agenda in the Sponge Bob/Homosexual controversy.

yes, I have seen that thread.
It is part of the reason I think the nets need to be required to have an "H" encoded in a programing with homosexuals and homosexual content. This will allow mom and dad to v-chip this out of content into their homes.
Homosexuals can produce whatever will sell. I predict it would increase V-Chip use.
