I think atheists can be some of the most interesting, intelligent people around, as long as it's not Christianity or moral issues being discussed.

Ug. Not me. I have a BIL who is an elitist, libertarian, atheist. (basically has a problem with rules) He literally tilts the top of his head back when he speaks at you. Since meeting him, I now know what "looking down one's nose at someone" is.
In other words, anything important. ;-)
We can't be expected to share your enthusiasm for Jesus Christ, if that's why you think we sound stupid when Christianity is discussed.
But really, you don't think atheists can talk about moral issues in an intellgent or interesting manner? How about Richard Posner? He's a judge and a scholar and he writes about those sorts of things (law, law & economics, morality, etc.).
Just because you don't like the conclusions some people reach doesn't mean they weren't reached after extensive intelligent consideration.
Every atheist I ve known (and I work in NYC so I know a plethora) has either had self esteem or daddy issues.
Theyve been self important blowhards or hate their fathers or lost their dads young.
Its very ironic how obsessed atheists are with God.
Ive struggled with my faith having had many difficulties and having lost my dad very early on, but something just draws me back to my faith no matter how I deny it.
And Im not referring to agnostics whatsoever.
Totally different situation.
But there is good hope for all atheists.
C.S. Lewis being the best example.

Its not about intelligent dialog, its about a lost soul damned to eternal separation from his creator.</p>
