Ive always felt that China is and has been the silent partner for Islmofascism.

Its pretty logical...terrorism diverts our attentions and dissipates our resources, all of which is in China's long term strategic interest.

The Asian motif...death by a thousand economic cuts.

At some point, Iran is going to want China to step up and become a more active protector...hence, a future strategic partnership. China will have to put up military support if it wants to secure the large oil contracts it needs as its economy grows at its feverish pace (avg GDP growth 9.5 % or thereabouts I think for 2004).

This is why I feel we have a three or four year window to bring this mess in the ME under control, in regards to not only Iraq, but Syria and Iran.
