Analysis: Bush must demonstrate he as workable plan for Iraq. (The left is too much)

From the USA Today
An Amazing Dose of Liberal Chutzpa on Iraq

Some people really have nerve. Bush and other coalition countries throw out a brutal dictator, liberates millions of people, fight off insurgents from neighboring countries that are hell bent on stopping elections and freedom and the election and freedom are realized on time. This while contending with nay Sayers, protestors and liberal congressman all doing their best to undermine the effort.

And now, in apparent oblivion that the plan has not only worked but worked incredibly well and to the visible satisfaction of overjoyed Iraqis, Bush now must contend with the likes of the writer below all demanding that Bush demonstrate a workable plan. Who the heck are they to demand anything? They were wrong. Bush was correct. Bush no longer needs to demonstrate he has a plan. He has done that and then some. Forgive us if this is too blunt, but before any calls that Bush demonstrate he has a plan, the liberal left needs to demonstrate they are capable of perceiving a very well executed one staring them right in the face.

Analysis: Bush must demonstrate he as workable plan for Iraq
By John Yaukey, Gannet News Service

Washington - Voting down, security to go. Iraq's first free election in 50 years now set the stage for President Bush to ratchet up the training of Iraqi security forces and convince Americans he has a viable plan for Iraq, which his is likely to try to do in his State of the Union speech Wednesday

Without security in Iraq, the exuberance for democracy that Iraqis displayed Sunday while voting will not last. And until Iraqis can fight the insurgency that has plagued their country for more than a year, U.S. troops will have to.

Without tangible signs that the U.S. campaign in Iraq is advancing toward an exit for the 150,000 American troops now there, Americans are likely to grow increasingly discouraged about the war, as polls indicate they had in the run-up to the election.

"The most important thing we can do right now is to get the Iraqi security forces up to speed," said Marine Col. Thomas X. Hammes, an expert on insurgency warfare and author of the acclaimed book on the subject, "The Sling and the Stone." "The Pentagon has said repeatedly they are our ticket out of there."

Bush has said as much as well, but with little detail about how he plans to get it done.

Oh, you silly Republicans, since when has "a workable plan in Iraq" had anything to do with free elections for the first time in the last 50 years? Clearly, Bush has just liberated millions from a murderous dictator for the oil....

[/sarcasm]

Hmm.

1. Give a clear warning to Dictator

2. Send in troops overthrow dictator.

3. Capture Dictator from spider hole

4. Kill and keep killing Dictator's former thugs and new jihadist buddies

5. Transfer power to local guy as before promised date.

6. Kill and keep killing Dictator's former thugs and new jihadist buddies

7. Hold the freest and fairest elections that the region has ever known, despite murderous campaign by Islamofascist thugs and MSM negativity.

8. Kill and keep killing Dictator's former thugs and new jihadist buddies

Sounds like a plan to me

Are you sure we should encourage them? I would really hate to see what their plan would be. Better they are marginalized as complainers and obstructionists with no real plan of their own.

I understand your post though. They are really something. I can not believe they can make the statements they do with a straight face. They should be embarrassed at how stupid they sound.

I had no idea getting rid of Saddam, and turning Iraq into a democracy were not part of a "plan."

These are the same folks who upon witnessing the very first meeting of the first Continental Congress would say, "BIG DEAL. Now what??"

The left hasn't demonstrated that they have a workable plan for anything.

Wow. Thanks for the link to that thread. I don't know how I missed this one. I guess Drudge took some credit for this story on the doll being used in the hostage pic. From the thread, though, he just pulled it from FR and someone on there said they got it from militaryphotos.net.
