What is Everyone's Opinion of JC Watts for '08?

Posted on 02/02/2005 7:32:18 AM PST by Keith Burwell

I am just curious what the Freepers take on a JC Watts run in 2008 would be like.

If JC Watts wants to become president, he needs to become Governor first before he would be considered a serious candidate.

Baggage? What baggage? I love JC, however, he does need more executive experience. How come no one mentions Frank Keeting , former governor from OK?

Wasn't he on the short list for Bush's VP in 2000?

2008 will be the year of the woman... Rice...

Sorry, as long as Condi remains a pro-baby-killer, she doesn't have a ghost of a chance.

He's a great guy but leftists would never vote for him because he's not "one of their blacks".

Watts is OK.

But he just doesn't got it. He wouldn't win.

I like JC. I enjoy hearing him talk - very articulate and knowledgeable. I would like to see him run and see how he does in the primaries.

Well, He would certainly need somebody to fill the top slot because he doesn't have the CV to handle the job in the eyes of most voters - let alone the hypocritical scum in the media. Just because he was a conservative darling for a while isn't solid criteria. Frankly though, from what I knew of his service, he had the kind of stones needed for tough leadership. Teamed with somebody like Condi, I think the monolithic black vote would certainly crumble some more. Black folks in white hats and all. I think a lot of 'Blazing Saddles' imagery could be stolen for use in such a campaign, too. That would be a fun ticket because the license to brand Lefties 'racist' would almost be worth a popular defeat.

He may have been. I was just trying to remember if anyone had made a leap from the House to the White House. I believe the last person was Lincoln - and he had a failed Senate run in between.

Regards, Ivan

Nay, we need someone who can defeat not only HITLERY, but the OMwhores,HELLywood and UN(the UN because the BIG CREEP will probably gain high status among the nations and the VOMIT from HELL will somehow stick her nose in the UN's affairs as well and will be exalted as the SAVIORS of the world)!

He was a fantastic Congressman.

That was my point. He was doing a great job for the people but bailed out to make money.

Like him; helluva nice guy, but not presidential material. Look for Gov Owens or the gov from Colorado, to emerge.

I'm from Oklahoma and a conservative Republican. I like Rep. Watts and supported him as a congressman. I think he is a genuine and fine Christian man.

However, he just doesn't have the smarts to be an effective president. I do think he would make an excellent governor and wish he would run here in 2006.

Should he, Condi or any other black person run or be the nominee for the Republicans, the Democrats would meltdown like you do not believe. You see they are the true racists. They are the are new slave owners and need blacks and minorities to be down and to to empower themselves. The would not be able to hold their tongues. What they tried to do to Dr. Rice was just a preview. They would fly off of the handle so bad that many more centrist and moderate Democrats would come to our side out of embarassment.
