Oh please.

JC Watts is in the same class as Jack Kemp.
Very smart for a football player, but certainly not Presidential timber.

The demoncraps will bring back his pictures when he had an afro while playing football.
This proved to me that democrats were raciest.
I would prefer him as VP.
Then with more experience as President.

If JC Watts wants to become president, he needs to become Governor first before he would be considered a serious candidate.

JC Watts: 6 years in Congress, leadership
John Edwards: 4 years in Congress (when he announced), nothing

Can you imagine a talented republican president regardless of race or sex ?

He was a Representative - needs a Senate seat or preferably a Governorship first. He is still very young.

A single child that was born to a woman not married to JC.

He and his family stepped up to the plate and a relative is raising the child.

You have a problem with that?????????

He was a congressman from Oklahoma.

I worry about his resolve, his guts.

He called Jesse Jackson a "race-hustling poverty pimp." That was good.

Then he basically apologized. That was bad.

We love JC here in Oklahoma. But you hear things...probably too much baggage. Was a great Congressman, could maybe see him as Governor one day.

His brother was just sent up the river for murder not too long ago....so definitely not national stage.

Maybe Condi Rice will appoint him to some post after she's elected.

JC Watts is a good man. Have met him and had a chance to talk more than once. I'd put my vote forward for him.

I am just reading JC Watts' autobiography now. I think you are slightly off on this point. He does have one child from a woman not his wife, a child he fathered when a senior in high school. This daughter was raised by his uncle and aunt as their own child. He also fathered a second child out of wedlock, but with the woman who became his wife. They married about a year after the birth of that daughter and I believe now have five children. So there is one child by another woman, and his and his wife's first child was born prior to their marriage. So there are not "children" from "women" other than his wife, it is only one child, by one other woman. I don't think this is going to eliminate him running for office....

Have you read about the guy in TN (I think a Democrat, maybe his last name is Ford?) who has kids by three women? He lives half the time with one family, half the time with another, and now he's in a child support battle with the third woman/mother of his child? And the Republicans are possibly challenging him because neither of his two homes are in the district he represents. What I want to know is how the guy ever found time to run for office!!!

You have to be kidding me. I like JC Watts but he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. We have got to get past electing media candidates and get back to electing gifted leaders. JC Watts should not hold the same office as Teddy Roosevelt or Woodrow Wilson...neither should Arnold.

People, this is the United States. We can do better.

Yeah, anyone that careless is not to be trusted with the Strategic Air Command's 'football'.

The Weekly Standard had a rundown of potential Republican candidates for 2008. JC Watts didn't even make the list (nor did Condi Rice). Numero Uno was John McCain - ugh! Followed by Guiliani, Mitt Romney, and Bill Frist. George Allen is in the second tier. Think Watts would do better to aim for the Senate or a cabinet appointment.

I believe there were some child support issues for illegitimate children. Didn't he get into a shoving match on the floor of the house with a dem who made a snide remark about his child support issue?
