Mr. Chirac repeated his conviction that a "multipolar world" with multiple centers of power... What he doesn't realize is that those poles are in Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Cincinnati...
...but not Paris!

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But wasn't Leahy the dude that leaked info from the Senate Intelligence Committee? He is pond scum and that is very insulting to all other pond scum.

Are we not killing enough people? Is that the problem? We are not kow-towing sufficiently to the glory that was France...way back when.
The French invented diplomacy, y'know.
Took all the mess out of surrendering...

More delusion from the French.
They actually see themselves as one of the "poles of power" in their self described "multi-polar" world.
And if events in this dangerous world call for a projection of force, what will the French do??
Send a shipload of cruissants and cream cheese to appease their foes??
What a bunch of egotistical noodnicks the French still are.

Oh BEST STORY EVER- I think I converted two Democrats today, you just reminded me, because one girl was like "The UN was against the War in Iraq"
I think the conversation took about an hour
I explained the Oil for food Scandal, What partial birth abortion really was , and the truth about John Kerry.
It is scary that people really don't know the truth.
Sorry, but I am just so pleased with myself.

Struggle no more, France. Just cave in. Surrender with snideness. Let that familiar feeling return with quiet abandon. You know you're not powerful. No one will blame you for slipping home, popping the cork to let it breathe by dinnertime. You can deal with Bush another four years - drunk.

And this numbskull knows this...how??

"The situation has changed," Mr. Barnier said in a recent interview over lunch at the Foreign Ministry, adding that Ms. Rice's instruction to punish France has been forgiven. How fortunate for Condi. I'm sure she'll be "appropriately humble." - (smack him one, Condi.)

LOL! I went off to wash the dishes, knowing you guys would find exactly the same nuggets that I found so funny! What a farce. I can't decide whether the writer MEANT it to be so funny...my guess would be not.
Really, the only snarky part towards Bush was this:
That description of the world enrages Mr. Bush and Ms. Rice because it seems to envision a power that competes with American interests and influence, even though Mr. Chirac also says the best way to make the multipolar world as stable as possible is by strengthening the trans-Atlantic relationship.
Which misses the whole point. Bush isn't worried about France competing with America! He would LOVE for Old Europe to take up its share of the world's burdens. Except for one thing....I think Zell would call it their "Spitballs" problem.

But Mr. Chirac made it clear, they said, that sanctions never worked and that he was opposed to them.Where did that come from? It was nothing but "sanctions were working" before. We must have really scared the socks off that freak.
That's funny, the French seemed to think the sanctions were working just fine when they were making billions off the "Oil for Food" scandal.

Forgive Russia.
Let Germany punish France.
They've proved to be good at that.

Certainly we're not looking for France to forgive us for wanting to punish the backstabbing A$$holes.
The plan remains the same: PUNISH FRANCE.....
LOTS!

I think he was saying: 'I'm not ready to step in and do the heavy lifting with boots on the ground. But you might make it, so I want to get in on the deal. The benefits with none of the sacrifice. Criticize the U.S. on the one hand and profit from its policies on the other. How typically, amorally French.

If I were Bush I'd be VERY AFRAID to share a dinner, one on one with Chirac. Could be they'd be served "entree ala dioxin" like poor Mr. Yuschenko.

"Palestinian crisis"
What crisis is that? The Israelis live behind their fence and the Palestinians live in poverty and misery like they have for decades. When they get tired of living like that, they can agree to live in peace with Israel. All of this is between the Palestinians and the Israelis and is not anything that America can or should interfere in.
