"Mr. Chirac truly believes that his decades of experience in global politics have made him an expert on just about any place in the world."

Here is the problem of TransAtlantic relations in a nutshell. A grotesque criminal failure who thinks he is God, and a totally successful man who is so humble he will not tell the diseased frenchypimp to F* off and die.

Very telling statement. Bush is not looking to run the world....but France is.

The three major powers of Europe were once france, Spain and England. When they spoke others listened and when they went to war the world trembled.

Spain is no longer a world power and doesn't seemed very bothered by it.

England is still a world power but in a relaxed sort of way. (don't poke them though, they bite!)

france can not accept that it is no longer a world power.

They are like the aging high school athlete wondering where his glory days went. But with a touch of psycho about them. If they can't have it they will destroy it. And that makes them dangerous.

As I remember in the movie in 1981 Chariots of Fire , there is this one person ( maybe the British envoy ) who says something about the French " they are a rather unprincipled lot, aren't they ? "
They stab us in the back , and now they want to kiss our butts.

Biden's no traitor.

Biden used to be my favorite Dem. I know that language was harsh, but I've been following some of Mr. Biden's comings and goings for a few years and I'm really beginning to suspect him of some unsavory intentions. It began when I read this article in Aftenposten, Norway's largest newspaper.

23 Oct 2003

Norway's Labour Party is joining other European social democrats in linking up with the Democrats in the US. The goal is to be prepared with common strategies if a majority of them on both sides of the Atlantic come back to power.

A group of European social democrats, led by former British Foreign Minister Robin Cook, met last week with several top Democratic politicians and party officials. They included US senators Hilary Clinton and Joseph Biden.

They also had meetings with Ron Klain of presidential candidate Wesley Clark's campaign, and Stan Greenberg, former US President Bill Clinton's campaign strategist in 1992.

On the agenda was European concern over current US foreign policy and the effects of globalization.

Espen Barth Eide, who led the Norwegian delegation, said the group met "understanding" that "economic globalization must be accompanied by political globalization."

There remain wide differences between the European social democrats and their counterparts in the US, who tend to be far more conservative.

Barth Eide called it "natural" however, "to begin with those (in the US) who are closest to us (in ideology), even though the Democrats of course aren't social democrats."

When I read that, I recalled how many times in the last few years I had heard about major Dem political operatives signing on with candidates overseas. It was also at the time the prez campaign was heating up and the Dems were desperate to find a way to attack Bush on the war.

I believe they colluded with their Euro buddies to do it for them. Recall that one of their main themes in the campaign was how unpopular we had become overseas? Not only do I think that was just fine with them...I think they arranged it and depended on it. The constant drumbeat of criticism from the U.N. and foreign leaders was dangerously effective.

Remember John Kerry's bragging about "foreign leaders" who supported him? Who came out to spin it and fix it for him? Biden. I think Kerry screwed up and almost gave up their secret.

There are many more examples. Now I read that Biden was over there meeting with Chirac prior to W's visit....and Kerry was just there a couple of weeks ago.

Am I talking about treason? I can't really say. The gent in the article calls it "political globalization". I DO believe Biden is involved in a scheme to ensure that foreign leaders continue to oppose Bush. And that means he's encouraging them to oppose U.S. policy.

You tell me what to call it.

"I want to get to know Condi Rice, to establish a personal relationship with her," said Mr. Barnier,

You can start by addressing her as Dr. Condeleezza Rice.

If I was Bush or Condi when you shake his hand make sure you count your fingers after.

Mais non! Condi should be sure to freely give him at least a strategically extended one (in France the gesture is called "faire un bras d'honneur") and THEN conspicuously ignore these pompous idiots with their absurd delusions of Napoleonic grandeur. France is now just a sad, washed up hellhole run by a crooked buffoon who'll shamelessly suck up -"faire a la leche" - to any murderous dictator who will consent to line his pockebook, and the world knows it. No one except fawning junior-year- abroad-type girl reporters at the NYT gives a crapaud about that odious toad anymore.

What do you mean? The Aftenposten article? It's been pretty widely disseminated on FR, just not lately.

I just saved it because I think it's very telling and it comes in handy when someone starts singing Biden's praises. Oh, and don't miss that Hillary was on that trip with him! And that means her husband's probably leading the whole thing.

"Mr. Chirac was said to have added that when militants are asked about their motivation, "they always come back to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as one of the main drivers."

This is one of the biggest loads of crap I have ever heard...and one of the reasons why Chirac and most liberals are dangerous. In fact, it is liberals who have given terrorist the very excuses they've needed for their violence because of their pre-occupation with this issue.

Hell, when UBL declared war on the US in the late 1990's, not one of his complaints lodged against America included the Israel/Palestine conflict. It was only "after" reading the words of Western intellects, that UBL realized that he was being given an "excuse" for his terrorism by these very people.

Do these liberals really think the terrorists in Chechnya, the Sudan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Yugoslavia, Saudi Arabia etc...give a sh*t about the plight of the Palies? No...in fact, many of those who pretend to now embrace this struggle are some of the very people who committed even more outrageuous sins against them. Geez... these people are going to kill us.

LOL! This is like a "Who's on First" routine. (Please don't ask me what THAT is!)

You wrote: Can you post that and a few more on News/Activism...

I was asking what you meant by "that". Since you responded to my write up about Biden, I assumed "that" was the Norwegian newspaper article about him.

Let's start over. What were you asking me?

French Struggle Now With How to Coexist With Bush

They can start by drinking all the wine they can no longer sell in the U.S. That will at least help them cope.
