>High tech is useless without the manpower to back it up.
Or the kahonas.
You forgot:
4. NO anchor babies, at least 1 parent should be legal to make the babies born here legal
Still, the left likes to employ 'divide and conquer' propaganda and since the details of the final budget are still months away, I find the article a bit premature/insincere in its criticism.
Not all Border Patrol agents work the border. There's a severe lack of agents working the interior of the country as well.
According to O'Reilly, the Border Patrol now estimates that there are one million border jumpers per month now. So in eight years or so, if the trend continues, there will be another 100 million of so new illegals in the country.
If this doesn't get fixed now, it will never be fixed.
I couldn't agree more. This is nothing but an incentive to cross.
It was reduced? I thought it was $15 billion.
Early April Fools. :)
Anchor babies is one of the largest incentives to come here. Even tho the mother or father may not qualify for certain benefits their children born here do. They are collecting medical, cash aid, food stamps, etc. via proxy.
I'm not judging the budget either way. I'm just pointing out that the "9,790" figure is bogus.
Well, that's the reasoning as I see it. I think it's nuts, but that's the reasoning.
Who reads "newspapers" anymore?
Bush made his illegal alien amnesty intentions crystal clear well before the election.
Gasp. He is DEAD f**king wrong on this.
Hey I'm not saying it's right. My point was that we need a better way to deal with the bigger issue of what to do with the illegals who are already here.
There are so many ways to get into the U.S. that patrolling the Mexican border isn't going to stop terrorists from entering our country. More agents may equal more detentions but who are they really catching? Poor people who are looking for jobs or hardcore terrorists looking to do serious damage?
Until we make a concerted effort to punish or expel illegals, nothing will change.
Kind of a misleading title dont ya think? Sounds like a dem tactic the way its worded, although the amount of BP Agents us actually going up, its a "cut" because the proposed amount of new agents just cant be afforded.
Now that is a good idea. There are a few thousand troops in Germany that need something to do. How about we deploy them along the borders? You either turn around or we light you up with the .50 cals.... I mean we shoot your clothing and backpacks with the .50's because we aren't allowed to use the big guns on people.
Actually thats misleading you should say then the actual number will be plus 710 new agents budgeted since the budget will increase enough to allow the hiring of an additional 210 bp agents on top of the normal attrition rate.
very troubling
what is he thinking?
