Not completely discounting this report yet, but is it possible that the San Francisco Chronicle has a disinformation agenda just to get you folks upset with the President? It wouldn't be the first such instance.

Unfortunately the President has consistently shown weakness on border issues, and the story is probably true. I wouldn't mind even a super-liberal paper like the Chronicle highlighting this, as most of the MSM doesn't give a rat's backside for the border issues and actually wishes the floodgates would open.

Not that I wouldn't mind if someone did prove the story wasn't true... I'd like to believe the President stands with us here.
