i think they had an immigration reform issue very recently hopefully they will fix the problem and police it more rigiriously to stop the attacks or allow the people to defend themselves more effectively at least.

My dad was in the US Navy. I wasn't born yet.
The reply was to Brian Allen and I simply googled the words American and anti-semitic and put up some links. I did go back to the site afterwards and realised it was not a good one but would be interested to know if these were factual quotes.
He seems to think Britain stood by when Germany was gassing the Jews and others when we were at war with them at the time, a war which America did not enter till much later so I do not know what kind of half arsed point he was trying to make. As for his comment on Dickens, Dickens felt very bad after Oliver Twist and did write a book that was positive towards Jews but it was not very good and as such I hvae no idea what it was called. He seems to think that everyone in Britian is anti-semitic. I was merely trying to show him that every country has their anti-semites and racists.
When you look at Henry Ford and others like him and then look at the burgeoning neo-nazi movement in the US with the Turner Diaries and the like I think it is amazing to take the moral high ground. He clearly has an issue about Britain. All modern country's are trying to stamp out racism and yet instead of focusing on that he makes comments about people who died centuries ago.
I do not think either America or Britain as a whole is racist or anti-semitic and I am happy to stay that way.

Another poster has dealt with the Washington quote. I don't recall seeing the Jefferson quote before, but it's out of character with the rest of his public utterances and writings, which include his authorship of the Virginia Act For Establishing Religious Freedom.
The Franklin quote first appeared in a screed by William Dudley Pelley, an avowed National Socialist, in 1934. The alleged source, the diary of South Carolina delegate Charles Pinckney, has never surfaced. From chain letters in the '30s to Internet posts today, the diary has often been claimed to be in the archives of the Franklin Institute -- something the Institute has denied since at least the 1950s.
The Franklin quote -- often labeled the "Franklin Prophecy" -- was more or less debunked right after it was published. But it remains a favorite of bigots, and is actively flogged by the usual suspects.
I'm not accusing anyone here of intentionally promoting anti-semitism, but spreading this sort of falsehood, even with the best of intentions, aids the Nazis in their attempts to claim the Founders as their own.
Well I was at the end of my shift and yet again brian allen decides to claim or imply all Britains since time immemmoriom are anti-semitic so I did not have time to fully check them out.
