So .. what I see is the SLIMY media is sending people over to FR to corner people into private "chat" and then they have copies of all the conversations.

I don't like it. It's a form of entrapment.

Well .. when the disruptors first started coming onto FR prior to the 2000 election - they were eventually exposed. I believe these people will be exposed also.

I believe I am going to be much more cautions what I say to screen names that I am not familiar with. Just a thought.

Let's not jump to conclusions. MD4BUSH could be a Washington Post reporter sting. He or she could also be a Democrat dirty trickster who leaked to the WaPo. Or even an innocent bystander caught in a keystroking dirty trick.

One moral of the story is that your anonymity isn't guaranteed on the Internet. Don't post anything you think will come back to bite you in the butt. The same goes for FReepmail and e-mail.

And everyone should remember that the WaPo and rest of the mainstream media IS lurking here. Please think before you post.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to be cautious with screen names you are familiar with, at least to some extent. How difficult would it be for the enterprising "journalist" to spend a year or two visiting FR occasionally and posting, developing relationships?

I'm going to expose someone who has freepmailed me twice in the last week to try to get me to send her/him e-mail or put me on his/her "buddy" list for real-time chat. It's a newbie who goes by the name "timein"

I don't respond to such freepmails and I don't do e-mail with anyone. I may be exposing a perfectly harmless and innocent new Freeper - but given this, I'm not going to take that chance.

Aren't reporters 'posed to identify themselves? Anything regarding the law?
