I had two surgieries then within 8 weeks of eachother. I was unaware of it, the doc came in after the second surgeryand said, "we gave you no blood. You will be anemic for a while."
I am forever grateful to thse doctors and nurses for that.
Wow, yes! It must have been a scary time for surgeons, not wanting to give tainted blood to their patients. So glad for you!
