I'm presently in the southern Philippines on the island of Mindanao. There is a hot little guerilla war presently being waged here and in regions to the south. Casualties on both sides are high.

There are also several well entrenched terror groups living in the jungles. There is also piracy, political corruption on a grand scale, kidnappings, drugs, and poor people who would make the poor in the US appear to be rich. This area would not be well suited as part of the US. In all reality, it would make the feds go crazy in the attempt to bring the area up to a US standard. If you think the southern US border is porous, you should see this one!

yeah I know all about the problems in the Philippines. My fiance is living in illigan city and im planning on going there this year to get married if I can come up with enough money. (I hope this year she is starting to get ticked off its been 5 years and I still havent managedto make it there yet. )But luckily thats pretty far north away from the hot spots. The only thing I would really haveto worry about up there is the branches of the pentegon kidnapping gang and the other main kidnapping for profit gang whos name escapes me at the moment. But I heard from reliable sources that i can grease the right palms and get a gun permit pretty much instantly. So I should be alright for the month or two that I will be up there.
