This is something similar in what my grandmother went through before she died. She had trouble breathing. They wanted to operate on her.. She said no..

Hearing all the pope has to go through and went through I sometimes just hope that God lets this man's suffering come to an end.

My daughter just finished doing a report in school on Pope John Paul's life. What a truly amazing, dear, wonderful holy man of God he is. Praying that he will be healed and comforted by the Lord.

Sky News in the UK says the Pope is definitely to have a tracheotomy and has been taken to the operating theatre.
