McCain Touts Jeb for 2008
NewsMax ^ | 2/28/05 | AP

Posted on 02/28/2005 5:12:21 PM PST by wagglebee

The first name that popped out of U.S. Sen. John McCain's mouth Sunday as the Republican choice for president in 2008 was Jeb Bush, but the governor's spokesman repeated his position that he has no plans to run.

"If you're looking at dynasties, and by the way I'm a great admirer of Governor Bush, he's done a great job in Florida," the Arizona senator said on "Fox News Sunday." But he added, "This might be a wide-open situation."

In response to McCain's remarks, Bush spokesman Jacob DiPietre said: "The governor is focused on his job right now. He's got an ambitious agenda for his remaining time in office and has said repeatedly that he has no intentions of running" for president in 2008.

My guess would be that Karl Rove ripped McCain a new one for suggesting last week that Hitlery would make a good president.

Forget Condi. She's not pro-life.

But if Jeb will take his troopers down and rescue Terri Schindler Schiavo, I'll support him, dynasty or no...

3 years of daily speculation is going to get mighty old.

And it continues to be the same names bandied about. Most of them wouldn't get to first base, but their names are still popping up.

I think the Jeb is too smart to run---he knows that the dems and libs and dense among us are soooo dumb, that they would think he is his brother and he would be attacked for every "imaginary" thing that Bush has done, and then some...

I heard two things today re: Terry Schindler.

I heard that the Vatican is getting involved and speaking in her behalf (like it will do any good, in some of our godless courts)

and I saw on Fox that the Schindlers are trying to get a divorce on the grounds of adultery---that would be sweeeeet!!!

Too late, it was old when it started.

Jeb/Condi 2008.

Sounds great to me, and if he resues Terri Shiavo away from the clutches of the ugly and corrupt court system that his State has, he will have gathered a major percentage of the conservative Christians into his camp!!!!!!!

Jebs not running nor should he. I don't think the public would take to 3 Bushs in in a 20 year span.

One RINO pluggin' another. This is very similar to the whispering campaign that brought W to front runner status.

How about two Clintons in the same span? If Hillary gets the nomination, perhaps people will not be bothered about the dynasty thing. Unless, of course, the situation creates the 3rd party candidate like in MN when Ventura won.
