My apologies.
There are so many on this forum who say I'm a bigot, but they can never refute my accusations about Islam.
There are several of us on here who have lived in the MidEast, and I haven't found one yet who differed from my opinion.
You are correct that "familiarity breeds contempt".
As I have tried to explain so many times, I don't care if someone believes in a pile of dog poop as long as that pile of dog poop doesn't tell them to kill me if I don't believe in it, too.
When they start telling me that I have to believe as they believe under the threat of death, we've got a problem. Then it behooves me to tell them that they have to change their beliefs, or I will take steps to kill them before they can kill me.
I've been accused of urging a pre-emptive strike against all the Muslims in the world, and that's simply not true. I believe in live and let live, but the "let live" includes me and all my Christian and Jewish brothers and sisters.
We didn't establish the parameters of this war. They were set for us a long time before 9-11.
Thank you for your clarification.
A wise person once observed that a bigot was a sociologist practicing without a license. That's what the both of us are -- unlicensed sociologists. I share your concerns and opinions of Muslims, as well. As long as they are contained within their homelands, I don't care if they blow each other up to Allah's kingdom come.
