According to a GrassrootsPA reader with the grades, "Arnold got the highest a A and so did Owens, however this is before he started to dismantle the TABOR they said. They were the only 2 A's. Stanford got a B. Ehrlich got a C. ANd the only 2 governors to get an F were one Dem and one Rep. Ohio Gove Bob Taft- F and Ed Rendell- F"
Cato Institute to Release Governors Report Card...At 10 a.m. today, the Cato Institute will release the results of its seventh biennial fiscal report card on the nation's governors. The new report card, which awards the highest grades to those governors who have reined in spending and cut taxes, gave four governors a grade of 'A,' while four governors received a grade of 'F.' Check back at 10 a.m. to download the full report.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
Cato likes Arnold? Wow...according to the pundits here, he was to the left of Stalin.
Taft sucks. Or, Bob Shaft as I like to call him. Sanford got a B, not bad, but Arnold with an A surprised me a bit.
Governor Tax earned his F.
If there had been an F- available Taft would have gotten that.
Why did Sanford get a B?
No idea. The report should be available on the Cato site in a sec.
I was suprised he didn't have an A. If anyone would get one I thought it would be him!

Rendell deserves an F but so do the Republicans. They control both houses in Pa. and have caved on most, if not all, the tax increases and spending that Rendell wanted. Oddly enough the Governor still maintains an approval rating of over 50%. If the Republicans had challenged him on his taxing and spending he might be much lower.
Rendell earned the F grade waaay before yesterday. His mass transit bail should lower him to F-.
They're mostly interested in taking-down a celebrity.
I stopped caring about Cato when they published a bogus "study" purporting to show that illegal immigration was a net economic gain for the U.S. Get serious!
Yes he would.
