Okie dokie... I also think then he was wearing the same clothes and FNC might have gotten it wrong in their on the air comment.
Some news person asked the same thing earlier. It was stated that this was a well to do area and also that when Nichols initially approached the newspaper worker that he pistol whipped, Nichols asked him for directions to this area of Atlanta.
No - that area you are referring to was the Lenox area, where he killed the customs agent and left with his truck. The area I'm asking about is the apartment complex in Duluth, where he was apprehended. It is quite a way from Lenox and off the path. Besides, Nichols lived long enough in Atlanta and not really that far from Lenox to know where it is. We are not being told why he went to those apartments - there was a specific reason, had to be. They are nowhere near anywhere else he was and if he was merely running, he would have went up the interstate. Again, I think he knew that woman or someone there anyway.
I was just trying to figure out how he got a change of clothes that actually fit him. The pics I saw of him getting into the van showed him in a white shirt and tan slacks.
Another poster has stated twice that the FBI clothed him. I dunno! I saw pictures of him getting into the van and pictures of him getting out...look the same to me!
You claim to work for LE in a jail and can't see why people are questioning his clothing??? Why aren't brilliant minds like yours asking where he spent the night and found clothes to fit?? BTW he's wearing the same clothes getting into the van, that he is getting out.

live comment and the shoes fact is important to note... why I work in LE in a jail.

Beats me. I'm still curious to why what he was wearing is really so important?

I was wondering the same thing yesterday. However, today I saw a different angle of him on fox that showed a full body shot, and it looked like the pants hit him just above the ankle. At least I think that's what I saw...it's early and I've only had one cup of coffee.
Sadly, the chair has been rendered cruel & unusual. It's the needle now. But they are just as dead.
BTW, that Thursday execution?
Did we happen to note the time? 12:00:01 am
Here is a gauge....
How will Cynthia Tucker frame it in her column next week. (Not today, I have already checked)
She will either focus on the corruption and incomptetence in the City of Atlanta/Fulton County or she will bemoan guns in the courtroom.
Check the Atlanta Journal Constitution Website in the next few days http://www.ajc.com
If you do not want to register check Boortz's website.

Trust me if she or anyone else tries to put the blame anywhere other than where it belongs, Neal will have it.
Heads up for those who do not get Boortz on your radio dials:
Tomorrow should be a do not miss. He has a link to Listen live on his site or it can be found at:

One possibility:
Satellite Blvd is very close to 85N and follows 85 up to Buford. It is not hard to get from the Lenox Square area, using any number of routes (interstate or backroads) especially late at night when there is no traffic.
If he was going up 85, it would be nothing to get to Satellite. I think part of Satellite is what was the old access road way back when.
I noticed from the video the apartments looked ungated and more or less sat away from the main road. He could have ended up there because it offered the best cover for him.
Since we moved here in 1968 (I was 14 & thought my life was over!! LOL!) 85N is the only way we have ever driven North either to Richmond or to DC. It is possible his original intent was to get to Baltimore. If I wanted to get out of town fast, I would head up 85 because that is my frame of reference.
Just throwing it out there....
It's possible - I live here too and work not too far from those apartments (Duluth). Like you, I head up 85 to see my kinfolk in NC. Satellite is relatively close to the interstate but not exactly right on the path to get out of town. It could have been a random spot to chill like you said, but it seems this guy wasn't too eager to leave town for good. He certainly had the opportunity since the Keystone Kops gave him a 12 hour or more head start in the "Green Honda".
He seemed intent on going to Lenox area from downtown - that's where he asked the AJC guy for directions. Why there? I know you don't know either, just scratching my head.
What's your point?
I've been scratching my head on that one also...
Dumbfounded is the word I use when realizing they didn't follow thatup especially after the couple was assaulted.
Tin foil moment - did he have a reason to go to Lenox, perhaps to kill the agent? Every action he took in the courthouse after the initial assault of the tiny female deputy was to kill the judge, not simply escape. Once he got out of downtown you would think he would be long gone, not spend the rest of the day trolling Lenox. The guy seemed at times to have a particular agenda, not just random killing and running.
Even more tinfoil - does not this guy's profile fit the assassin/patsy mold? Strong physically, good with a gun, intelligent, but anti-authoritarian with a screw loose. A lot of what he did was very mechanical.
It's good for someone to not take things at face value now-and-then. There is plenty of conformist thinking to spread around.
I personally think he wasn't a patsy. I think he felt persecuted, thanks to the race-baiters. So he decided to go 'black panther'.
