And so on. The OT is jam-packed with death sentences for all sorts of things... including being the *victim*.
Wow, it takes a particularly arrogant flavor of chutzpah to declare that laws given by God are "silly and evil."
Those laws were given for a particular people in a particular time. Their culture didn't have any Constitution, Bill of Rights or judicial system with trial by a jury of peers. To judge their law from your perspective of comparative pampered ignorance is the very definition of foolishness.
