Ban them = Criminals STILL WILL Get them!
It's like 1+1=2 ;)

I know you're right- I'm usually anti gun-control.

I think part of my strong AK-47 reaction is from listening to my son recount stories of Iraqi's with AK's ...

Your son, like mine, was probably also surrounded by a large number of 19-21 year-olds with M16A2s or M4s, and both probably felt safer for it. It ain't the guns, it is the scum-- be it Pennsylvania, Iraq or Rwanda.

Sooooo, if your son would have said "Tommy Guns", you'd want them banned? Oops, I mean 'off the streets'.

But then, what about Iraqi's with Daisy Red Ryder BB guns? Or how about Iraqi's with Sling Shots? If your son said that would you 'feel' the same way? No of course not, as that would be pretty absurd wouldn't it. It's the same with an AK-47 (or AK-74, or SKS), that is unless you've bought into the false hoods and utter tripe spewed by the leftist MSM on so-called 'assault rifles'.

And just so you know, an AK-47 fires a less powerful cartridge (ammo) than your average, run of the mill hunting rifle. Ergo there is nothing evil or nefarious about an 'AK-47'. It is not some magic killing machine.
