I heard that audio in an email you sent. I'm sorry, I just don't want one huge open border continent, we will have more crime than ever.

The premise is that there are just too many illegals here already and it is impossible to round them up and send them home - hence amnesty.

It has been tried before in 1986 by President Reagan and it failed miserably.

Also, there is the huge (fully known, fully allowed) existence of the Underground Economy of Mexican migrants brought up here to do "Jobs American Won't Do."

The underground economy last year is estimated to have robbed the United States of over $480 BILLION in lost tax revenue due to unreported taxes because the labor was (of course) illegal in the first place.

The big problem with all of this is that the Democrats are jumping right on top of it and sure as the world is round and the Pope is Catholic will fashion a giant hammer and smack the holy living dribbles out of Republicans in 2006 and 2008 with it.

To continue in the path of the underground economy and the open border (unofficial) policy is political and national suicide.
