Puhlease, you find me any comments, anywhere, where President Bush calls "The Minuteman Project" vigilantes.

I can recognize a hit piece when I read it.

Bush is not stupid enough to name them specifically, if he did that there would be a major backlash from the public. Why, because the majority of the public are for stopping illegals from entering the country. That is why they call monitoring the border "hunting" and illegals "migrant people". Migrant people are senior citizens that live in the north during the summer and in the south during the winter.

Yes it was a hit piece, directed towards those that attempt the stem the tide of illegals.

Bush knew exactly who he was talking about. It's been the headline grabber in Mexico ever since it was announced.Unless of course you really are suggesting that Bush is that stupid. Reminds me of Lawyer double speak. But just in case, here is a very good example.

Let's say down the road from where you live there is a neighborhood watch program, and just last week they announced they would be patroling the neighborhood in greater numbers because crime has gotten way out of hand and the Police just don't seem to be doing anything.

If you call the 911 line you might get a response in a few hours. Now lets also say that the (supposed) leader of this said gang invited you over to see what could be done to stop or slow down the violence.

And you were asked by someone who is present at this Parlay, "So what do you think of the Hunters in the neighborhood looking for gang members"? Are you going to tell me that you would not assume he was talking about the neighborhood watch? Give me a break, Bush knew what the question meant.

"I'm against vigilantes in the United States of America," Mr. Bush said at a joint press conference. "I'm for enforcing the law in a rational way."

Exactly whom do you think Bush was referring to as "vigilantes" at this press conference?

Charles Bronson?
