That's what I want to know.
Jay Sekulow was on Hannity's radio show almost daily offering commentary, but did he offer his services to the Schindlers?
Who knows, maybe he and others did, and were turned down, but regardless, it seems obvious the Schindlers were outlawyered.
About Sekolow and other top lawyers--maybe they took a look at it and thought the case has already been lost and didn't want the ultimate loss on his/her watch. Sekolow was saying privately last Monday that Terri was "dead". Of course, this was after the Schindlers had filed that inartfully drafted complaint before the federal court.
Isn't Jay Sekulow, Randall Terry's attorney, or at least has represented him in the past? Not the Schindlers (unless I'm wrong about that).
A friend emailed me yesterday that in watching Fox News, they appeared to be in retreat and in full revisionist mode. Guests were now saying that Congress did what it could, that Michael Schiavo isn't such a bad guy, and that Judge Greer did an outstanding job given the way Florida's laws are written. This perspective that the Schindler's had lousy lawyers is part of the revisionist spin. Just watch...the blow back will be that what made this issue worse than it should have been were "values conservatives" and the Schindlers. At the end of the day, it will be us pro-lifers and Terri's parents who were the bad guys here.
