Thanks. I sure like mine. It sounds great with the drag pipes and no baffles too.

I like the look of the V-Rods. I will definitely test some Harleys before making the decision.

Scope out the piston configuration on it sometime -- an air-cooled traverse V-twin setup, like Moto-Guzzi. Very unusual for Honda.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin.

I admire Arlen Ness' design style as well. This is a Ness-inspired Victory bike

I knew about the CX 500s because a different neighbor had one and the transverse V-Twin just looked odd with the Honda badge, so I did some Google digging.

Didn't know they also had something called a Silver Wing (which I thought was just name for the new scooter), which is apparently what the new neighbor has. Big fairing, hard saddles.

LOL!

I meant "you are what you sit on" meaning your recliner tells alot about who you are if you aren't the bike riding sort of person.

"Silly Yuppie Trailers are for Boats."

I have two trailers that I pull behind my bikes. One has a pop-up camper and the other is for cargo.

Thank goodness people were nice back then. They took IOU's and he sent them money, some people were just nice and didn't want anything. He still talks about a beautiful indian girl he saw somewhere out west.

The only problem I had was on my last trip. I had the Harley shipped from Hawaii to San Francisco. Instead of being in a shipping container it was loaded as deck cargo – open to the elements. I checked it out and, except for a broken clutch lever it seemed OK. As I was crossing the Great Salt Lake flats, the front bearing went out. Seawater had washed out much of the grease. I limped into Salt Lake City to the Harley shop. The immediately took the bike in and ordered me to wait at the bar next door. When they had replaced and repacked the bearings the owner came for me – paid my bar tab, put me up for the night and refused any payment.

I had to settle for a Honda Shadow 750

"Settle"? NONSENSE! The Shadow is a terrific bike.

I love my 1100 ACE Tourer.

"Interesting survey. I like Harleys and crotch-rockets and I can't decide which one to buy."

GEE...If you really "can't decide...", save your money and buy a crotch rocket because you're really made your decision when you acknowledged that you "can't decide!"
