This hysteria needs to stop and stop right now!

Terri wasn't Jesus,Jeb isn't Pilate, and writing such garbage helps nobody!

All the non-Floridian Bush basher with no knowledge of the Florida Constitution are marching on tonight!
If they have ever listened to Jay Seculow, they would have known that if Jeb had acted he would have broken the Florida law, and that he had NO legal options available. Naturally these loud talking heads here knows it better than Jay, a frequently lawyer defending at the SCOTUS!!!

I read all of the relevant portions of the Florida Constitution last weekend, I am absolutely convinced that he had all the authority he needed to save her life.

Please quote them for us? Thanks!

Mass hysteria has overtaken FR and if it doesn't end soon, there's no telling the price that will have to be paid.

If I was granted three wishes, a la fairy tales, one of then would be that people who knew little to nothing at all about any given topic, would NOT be allowed to post on those topics, to FR. That would save a very great deal of bandwidth!

Unfortunately, even some here who claim to live in Florida, have posted THE most ridiculous garbage about this case.

Many thanks for your sane and informative post. :-)

How often does it happen that an adulterous husband wants to get rid of his disabled wife and lies about her wishes? That probably happens a lot more than we realize.

So far it has been the "Perfect Murder" case that neither Colombo or Perry Masson would have been able to solve, unless somebody is able to expose the real truth, which I e-mailed to the two brothers!!!

Well, we both know what one of those wishes would be don't we? wink, wink.

Naturally these loud talking heads here knows it better than Jay, a frequently lawyer defending at the SCOTUS!!!

Lawyers are basically very timid, conventional people. If a lawyer had advised Rosa Parks, she would have gone to the back of the bus. If a lawyer had advised Sam Adams, the tea would be sold, not dumped, and the taxes paid. Jay wants center stage, and the battle fought on his terms, and through his ministry--even if it doesn't square with historic constitutional principles. He wants the law to be respected, even if it meant starving an innocent woman. Jay should understand, of all people, that there is a higher law.

This was momentary blindness on his part.

Terri Schiavo was tortured to death on the order of a judge who never saw her, who took into consideration only that testimony that fit the sentence he had in mind. Dogs, cats, horses, all in the news in the last couple of weeks for not being properly fed and their owners sentenced to hard time. In Florida, being starved to death, prevented from practicing your religion is bliss, natural. It is not torture, like putting underwear on a prisoner’s head. Ask a judge.

The Governor could have stopped this evil, had Terri removed from the abattoir while an investigation into the credible allegations presented was completed. He did not. He claimed he must “follow the rule of law.”

The President could have stopped this evil, had Terri removed from the abattoir while an investigation into the credible allegations presented was completed. He did not. He claimed he must “follow the rule of law.”

The fact is that both the President and the Governor were afraid to act as what they are supposed to be, an independent arm of the government, protecting ur rights to LIFE, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

This was not the rule of law, but the worship of judge. The judges were wrong. Judges are often wrong, as Dred Scott.

They lacked the guts to do their job. There is an alternative explanation, but it puts them in a less favorable light than being assessed as cowards.

They did not act. When they allowed Terri to be tortured and murdered under color of authority, they lost some of their moral authority. Even more important, when Terri died, a part of their souls died too. They had the power, they chose not to exercise it. What choice would you have made?

My flag is at half mast, for Terri and for our country.

It's been a very sad day.

It has indeed. The proof of Jeb Bush's cowardice will soon be immortalized in Terri's headstone. It's a day that has proved our leaders are not man enough to lead.

A strong example from you, asserting your legal supremacy to administer Florida government and its employees, would have set a great example. You are unlikely to have another similar chance.

Did you, like we did, go through four (4) hurricanes last year???

Its not about status quo.. its about reality.. which is something you cant face... you live in a fantasy world, your mind is also thinking about things long ago.. Dred Scott.. give me a break...

Your just pissed off that she died and you need to get pissed off at someone for it.. ya know what.. be pissed off at the husband.

I don't consider it flirting in the least. I seem to recall you and this friend of yours calling yourselves Conservative feminists (I might be confusing her statement with yours though) and so I like to poke fun at that with the stereotypical "macho male" comments. I apologize if you have taken offense and will not joke in that manner anymore. I can be and am a jerk. Please forgive me.

How can you flirt with someone you've never met or seen?

BTW, I seem to recall (and I may be mistaken) that you are Catholic: if so, you might find this thread of interest:

Gov. Bush was called up to the plate, and struck out. Judge Greer was the umpire, and while MS was on the side managing Felos was pitching.

The game is now over, and everyone has lost.

What a disgraceful legacy to leave your family, and to be remembered in the annal's of history.
