Terri Schiavo Cremated Amid Family Feud

TAMPA, Fla. Terri Schiavo's body was cremated Saturday as disagreements continued between her husband and her parents, who were unable to have their own independent expert observe her autopsy.
The cremation was carried out according to a court order issued Tuesday establishing that Michael Schiavo () had the right to make such decisions, said his lawyer, George Felos. He said plans for burying her ashes in Pennsylvania, where she grew up, had not yet been completed.
Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had wanted to bury their daughter in Pinellas County so they could visit her grave.
Terri Schiavo, 41, died Thursday after the removal of the feeding tube that had kept her alive since 1990, when she suffered brain damage that court-appointed doctors determined had placed her in a persistent vegetative state (). Her parents had fought in court to keep her alive, disputing the doctors' opinions and saying there was hope of improvement.
People take Life for granted, that's for sure.

I was searching for something last night and happened on a NDE website where people who had "visited" the other side. One person said they were made to see their life pass before them and actually FEEL how anyone they'd done bad to felt. OUCH. If MS did something bad...Oh my,oh my.

I heard on the radio today that Schiavo will not be able to keep the location of Terri's remains a secret from her family, and that he is required by law or a court order to disclose it.

Actually the only evidence was a speculation that the low K was caused by bulimic vomiting. Terri had lost a hundred pounds in high school before she met her husband using Nutri system with a dr's care. She lost more after the marriage but her weight and height were normal.
I have been wondering about the high glucose. All I can figure out is the paramedics started an IV of glucose.
I heard MS say he had no idea Terri had bulimia, no idea. Given his controlling behavior, how would he not know.
Fractures of the ribs at the vertebral junction werre said to be secondary to CPR. Not so. Those ribs were fractures on the back of her chest. With CPR, the anterior ribs are fractures. I suggest the ribs and T7 were fractured by the foot and body weight of a very angry MS. And she couldn't breathe.

I heard that it was the court depositions regarding alleged abuse by Mike Schiavo that Greer sealed. One of the Florida newspapers had been denied access to those papers and filed a complaint. The report I heard said that the paper was going to file an appeal of Greer's decision. Autopsies are public record.
I don't know. Wecht is not respected by pathologists.
Could be Thog wanted an autopsy room that wasn't a circus.

I found this last week and to my knowledge, I was the first to post it...Florida Statute 406.11.
406.11 Examinations, investigations, and autopsies.--(1) In any of the following circumstances involving the death of a human being, the medical examiner of the district in which the death occurred or the body was found shall determine the cause of death and shall, for that purpose, make or have performed such examinations, investigations, and autopsies as he or she shall deem necessary or as shall be requested by the state attorney:
(a) When any person dies in the state:
1. Of criminal violence.
2. By accident.
3. By suicide.
4. Suddenly, when in apparent good health.
5. Unattended by a practicing physician or other recognized practitioner.
6. In any prison or penal institution.
7. In police custody.
8. In any suspicious or unusual circumstance.
9. By criminal abortion.
10. By poison.
11. By disease constituting a threat to public health.
12. By disease, injury, or toxic agent resulting from employment.
(b) When a dead body is brought into the state without proper medical certification.
(c) When a body is to be cremated, dissected, or buried at sea.
(2)(a) The district medical examiner shall have the authority in any case coming under subsection (1) to perform, or have performed, whatever autopsies or laboratory examinations he or she deems necessary and in the public interest to determine the identification of or cause or manner of death of the deceased or to obtain evidence necessary for forensic examination.
(b) The Medical Examiners Commission shall adopt rules, pursuant to chapter 120, providing for the notification of the next of kin that an investigation by the medical examiner's office is being conducted. A medical examiner may not retain or furnish any body part of the deceased for research or any other purpose which is not in conjunction with a determination of the identification of or cause or manner of death of the deceased or the presence of disease or which is not otherwise authorized by this chapter, part X of chapter 732, or chapter 873, without notification of and approval by the next of kin.
(3) The Medical Examiners Commission may adopt rules incorporating by reference parameters or guidelines of practice or standards of conduct relating to examinations, investigations, or autopsies performed by medical examiners.
THAT is an excellent question. I would not doubt this guy has his finger in just about every conceivable Death Industry enterprise in Fla. It is big business down there and his temperament and physiology are apt for the job.
Tried a number of searches. National Cremation Society looks like an umbrella group - They are nationwide with what appear to be 'Franchises' all over. Perhaps Felos is in on the local chapter or whatever it is called.
