I told my husband that he can give me organs, if anything should happen to me, as he sees fit, but I'm afraid to sign an organ-donor card.

I have read that the organs are bettter if the patient is alive, but "brain-dead" and I'm afraid an unscrupulous doctor would claim someone is brain dead, just to get their organs (fresh).

It gets so complicated. I want to help humanity, should something happen, but am worried about unscrupulous doctors.

You should be afraid, what started out as something good, organ donation and hospice has been taken over by greed for the almighty dollar. Your organs are worth more than you are worth to them.
