The sentence is essentially nothing, for a crime that should have seen many years in jail.
However, he was forced to admit publicly that he did it with intent. That has high legal significance, and could mean he is cooperating with investigators.
The long delay in what seems an open and shut case could be because they are following up leads provided by Berger, etc. (I know, I know... Pigs still can't fly...)
We can hope, anyway. The alternative is that another member of the Clinton crime family just skated.
I agree with your viewpoint. I'm disgusted by this "punishment." It is a joke. And the idea that he can re-apply for a security clearance in three years is the icing on the cake. I am clinging to the hope that he is in some way cooperating with investigators and that there is more to the story. Probably a vain hope, but I'm not ready to let it go quite yet.
