Where'd you hear that? I worked at Wendy's for years. The chili is from burgers that are too dried out/too cooked to be served as burgers. Not burned meat, just well done.
I have no problem eating their chili. *shrugs* At least I know the meat is COOKED!
Planned that way from Dave Thomas in the beginning. Wendy has
always claimed not to stockpile burgers, that the sandwich
is fresh. That doesn't leave many unused burgers for next days chili.
