I was going through a number of threads related to the Minuteman Project to gather the many warm wishes and words of support that so many FReepers have expressed. I want to print them out and take them down to the Minuteman Project HQ and post them for all of the volunteers to see.
Then it occurred to me that a separate thread could be posted with the purpose of allowing people to express their support to the men and women volunteers with the Minuteman Project.
I'm not looking for any glory for myself as my actual volunteer time with the Minuteman Project has been limited for a number of reasons. I've done what I could to help out here and there, but I certainly don't deserve the praise better reserved for those who have sat on the hot and dusty front line for days on end. Those are the real heroes, not me.
So, let's use this thread to let the Minuteman Project volunteers and organizers know just how much we appreciate their patriotic efforts.
"When the minute men gathered at Concord Bridge on April 19, 1775, to face the British, this colorful banner waved over them. The square shape was typical of cavalry flags at the time. Emerson wrote of that battle: "By the Rude Bridge that arched the flood, their flag to April's breeze unfurled, here once the embattled farmers stood and fired the shot heard around the world." Today the "First Flag of the Revolution" may still be seen at the Bedford Library in Bedford, Massachusetts. This priceless relic is the oldest flag in the United States."

You guys are the modern embodiment of this spirit, our sentinals in the scrub proving that (above) average citizens can still make a real difference without "their government's permission". I sincerely regret not being there with you. May God keep you all safe from enemies foreign and domestic. There's no doubt which one of those poses the greater threat. Your participation harms these latter-day Quislings most of all - an unexpected bonus!
And Spiff, you're too modest. Give my regards to JB and I hope IRBP a swift recovery.
Thanks for standing up to the purveyors of political correctness and not backing down in the face of an attack by the liberal media and pro illegal immigration advocates.
The Americans who have risen up against the illegal invasion are not "vigilantes" or "racists" or "the enemy." They are the PATRIOTS, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. (sound familiar?)
Border Patriots ~ Bump!
As a Texan, I'm very disapointed that this project was not originated on the Texas border. When it begins here I will participate. God bless the MMP and all who support them.
You Minutemen and Minutewomen are true American heroes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thanks for giving our side a voice, guys.
Keep it up.
