I wonder if that hand gesture means anything? It looks odd to me, and it felt uncomfortable when I tried to duplicate it.

The kid is flashing a gang sign.

Gang signs, are not supposed to be regular hand signs that are routine, they're supposed to be overt acts that can be obvious.

I'm surprised no one noticed it. It is pretty blatant.
