The first step in getting rid of Divisions.....GM Truck for example instead of Chevrolet and GMC Truck.

Probably a good idea, they need to shake up a lot of stuff.

And how will this improve reliability and design?

Reminds me of when Hostess began putting "Made with real fruit" on all their fruit pies.

If I buy a Cadillac, I don't want a "GM" badge on it.

I read that $5k of each car they sell goes to GM health care costs. Wow!

Doesn't GM already put a small sticker on the driver's side window that has their logo on it? They have that on their older cars.

Didn't they try something like this on the Titanic, with the deck chairs?

All cars? Does this mean that sometime when I'm not looking a GM bandit is going to sticker a GM logo onto my little jetta?
To: BurbankKarl
Is this because you become Genetically Modified by driving one?

I've had my 94 Camaro for years and the only problems I've had so far are a cracked windshield and a dead headlight. I like GM quality.

You're lucky. My Saturn has been a money pit compared to my previous car, a Mazda. Right now I have to decide do I want to get a new clutch or a new car.

indeed. so when they can Buick, they can transition whatever decent cars Buick is making to some other division and hope no one will notice.
still, are they going to do this on the Corvette too? There is going to be alot of adhesive remover and dental floss being sold to remove these badges.

People don't know Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, etc. are parts of GM? Oh man, that's bad. One of the big problems with American automakers is the UAW. They won't even agree to a $15 co-pay on doctor's visits. The union is why GM cars cost so much.
To: isthisnickcool
You read wrong...
its around $1500....but they are paying $3500 per 1 million employees and retirees and their families per year.

Oh man, a friend of mine got a new Saturn, and he always had a new problem each month. It's like his car was a woman. Sorry to any women out there. =P
From what I've heard, Saturn is not good quality, though they're *trying* to change that. Good luck to you.
