I just want to point out that far too many people quote that "judge not lest ye be judged" verse as if it is the end-all. But in fact, it's just not that simple; for example:
For why should I be judging outsiders? Is it not your business to judge those within? God will judge those outside.
-- 1 Cor 5:12-13a
Many non-Christians in particular love to quote Matthew 7:1-3---and ironically, as 1 Cor 5 above suggests, they have some justification---though the conveniently fail to put any weight on verses they don't like.

But please don't misunderstand, I share the condemnation of this pastor and his tactlessness (and likely his error as well). I'm just saying that whipping out that verse from Matthew really isn't as helpful as it might first appear.

Paul did not contradict the Lord, whose words are always helpful. An older, more accurate English translation reveals the true meaning of 1 Cor 5:12-13. And I would not "condemn" a Pastor despite his error. Because how is that any different from someone condemning the Pope?
