I think you will also find friendly disposition towards Morocco has something to do with trade agreements. From what the article states it sounds as though you have the same trade agreements that we have in the UK ours are through the EC and the ex EFTA (European Free Trade Association - which IMHO we should never have left).

I work for a company who exports to Morocco so am aware of the various trade agreements/forms and conditions of qualifying status for these and have always found the Moroccan Company's good to deal with. They are fairly prompt payers unlike near neighbours Tunisia. Our company in fact trade on an open account basis whereas all transactions with Tunisian companies go through our 2 banking systems.
