I just hope that President Bush will realize that passports are helpful in our national security and will complement the existing measures he has already done to ensure our safety.

Illegals aren't passing through gated entry points...

The most common illegal alien is one that was legally admitted, but overstayed the time limits on their admission (visa overstays).

Tancredo will not win. Whatever party that nominates a moderate will win.

Yeah, those "moderates" do such a great job don't they? They are against radical concepts like protecting our borders from foreign invasion, balanced budgets and fair trade deals. Go Moderates!

What is so hard to understand about that? They frigging wrote it; stop defending a troll. Or are you one as well??

I see trolls from time to time. They come across as stupid, and seem to offer nothing but inane insults. They disagree with something said, but don't have the intellectual skills to rebut, so must depend on their limited abilities to render fatuous judgments seasoned with a serving of malicious name calling. Would you agree?

Oh wait - we've already had that....

And ALL of the 9/11 perps presented passports when they entered the USA.

But, say it is true, then it just exemplifies how out of touch with mainstream America Bush and Co really are.

Since Bush is from Texas, he is more in tune with US-Mexican relationships. I honestly believe when Bush was elected that he did not have a strong grasp on U.S.-Canadian relations (trade and border) and the poltitical gaffes of the Canadian government didn't help.

You've only had to show your passport if you were arriving from overseas. At a land crossing from Canada, you simply need a U.S. drivers liscence.

And you just made my point. We were on a flight to Manzanillo Mexico. They pulled me and my friend out of line (both blue eyed, blonde haired, pale americanos and went over us with a fine toothed comb. All while I watched mexican and middle eastern looking men walk right thru. I had me quite a fit too.
They are NOT looking at the right people. They are being pc and punishing true citizens.

I have only witnessed ignorance and knee jerk reactions like the ones I am seeing around here on liberal forum boards in the past. With the dates of the sign-ups, it appears that they have tried to bring their hysteria here.

Agreed. It's seemingly an epidemic.

Globians...

As the rate things are going...Legislation based on Old European law, Scream Court decisions based on new European law, etc., it seems more true than we would like to believe.

The UN has already made moves to internationalize the courts, tax citizens of individual countries, take over the Internet (after all, it does need a gatekeeper -- just ask Hillary).

We are closer to Globians than we care to admit.

Hmmm You offer no solutions, just insults and a crooked smile.

So when should the impeachment process begin?

What was the source for what you quoted in Post 28? I didn't see it in the original Fox news article.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Which is why this poster who started this thread, and took the story out of context, then added thier own spin on it, got called that.

Many of us believe that with amnesty proposals, open border policies, refusal to take President Fox to task for his enabling of illegal immigration and drugs, and now this, that the President is not really interested in fighting the WOT here, but only overseas. That does not make us trolls
So you are able to get all that out of Bush asking for a review of passports being used to re-enter your own country?

You da man!

I would also hope that prices drop as a result of this.

I think the State Department will have to, just to get it to pass.

As far as canada is concerned there are actual treaties with regard to this. A DL and Voter registration card gets you in.

You have a good point. To make this change, the treaties would need to be renegotiated. That means the change needs to be retified by the Senate. Or was this part of another piece of legislation? It would be scary if Canada doesn't require passports and doesn't tell this to U.S. visitors that are unaware of the change. They let the Americans in, but the U.S. will refuse admission to returning Americans without a passport.
