Did the ancient folks have to wrap them in plain brown wrappers? :-)

Probably a part of fertility cult with similar stone artifacts known in other places. But blessed are the prudish at heart, for they shall see sex everywhere.

New pornographic figurines from the Stone Age have been discovered in Germany. But researchers can't agree on what the 7,000-year-old sculptures mean.Especially, the figurines of the caveman with the bulbous nose and the herpes lip and the other caveman with the huge jowls, shoving a cavewoman into a lake.

Sure they haven't uncovered artifacts from the Clinton White House?

An increasing number of finds seem to indicate the Stone Age was an orgy of sexual imagination.Maybe, but the article doesn't name any, and this particular one is neither pornographic nor requires any sexual imagination.
To: tbird5; SunkenCiv
More interesting because its a male figure since the usual figurines are female and have always been considered quasi religiuos represntations of the Mother or Earth Goddess.
Perhaps this midden was the Stone Age equivilent of a 'bath house'???

From webster.com
Etymology: Greek pornographos, adjective, writing about prostitutes, from pornE prostitute + graphein to write; akin to Greek pernanai to sell, poros journey -- more at FARE, CARVE
1 : the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement
Ahhhh, the liberal media trying to normalize pornography. Do you think there was even a concept of pornography 7000 years ago? Thanks for the insight Tammy Bruce!

The researchers couldn't sell the story with the retro fertility symbol angle. But, establishing pornography as an ancestral hominid trait: priceless. It sells the story and advances the whole metrosexual narrative. It's a win-win.

An increasing number of finds seem to indicate the Stone Age was an orgy of sexual imagination. They were filthy animals!!!(literally - No human DNA. Get it?)
