Again, just depends on what prophecies you follow, but many say the Eagle talked about in some Biblical prophecies is the U.S.A. I will have to talk to a fellow FRiend and make sure I get that right before posting it.

Quix is kind of the de facto prophecy guy on the FR religion forum, but here is what I dug up (still looking for the exact thing).

My preferred translation for general study is the New Oxford annotated RSV. It has all of the various Apocrypha books of the Roman Catholics, and a few of the others such as Maccabees 3 and 4.

In one of those non canonical (by anyone) books, a mention was made of the great Eagle from across the sea that would not be on the side of the people of God.

Quix, I also think you posted something about that once, but I am pressed for time and can't find it! I will dig deeper later, but wanted to give AandD and AliVeritas a quick answer.
