Pop singer Moby: Make my kid 'gay' (also rips DeLay, Coulter, Hannity as 'immoral' right-wingers)

Pop star Moby, known for his political statements as well as his music, says he'd do everything he could to make his future child homosexual should the singer ever have a family.

He's also blasting conservatives Tom DeLay, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Newt Gingrich as "amoral/immoral" right wingers.

In an interview with Planet Out, a publication geared toward homosexuals, the musician, who is not "gay," was lamenting so-called homophobia in society when he suggested his future child should be raised to be a homosexual.

"As a matter of fact, I was talking to my friend Laura, who sings on [my latest] record, and we're both getting to the point where we want to start families," Moby said. "We're convinced that if we have children, we're going to do everything in our power to make them gay. Like maybe drinking a lot of extra soy milk while she's pregnant, or anything that would work to make that happen. I'd just rather have a really sharp, interesting, smart gay son than some big dumb hetero meathead."

On Moby's website, he also said he wonders why Christians in general are so "worked up" about homosexuality.

"I ask this because Christ, at least in the New Testament that I have, never mentioned homosexuality, so we thus don't know what Christ might have thought about homosexuality. Why is the church so up in arms about an issue that Christ never seemed to have mentioned? And why does the church so routinely gloss over so many of the issues that Christ actually did talk about? It just makes no sense to me."

Moby, who once called President Bush a "big, fat f---ing liar" at a New York event hosted by the political organization MoveOn.org, is now taking on well-known conservatives in his online diary.

In his entry yesterday, Moby writes:

"I hope that Tom DeLay sticks around for a long time.

"He's such a profound and continuing source of embarrassment for the right-wing in America that his resignation or indictment would actually work to the detriment of the left-wing in the states.

"The progressive movement needs more crazy and amoral/immoral right-wing politicians and pundits like Tom DeLay and Newt Gingrich and Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity.

"Seeing as the progressive movement [is], sadly, not so good at self-promotion, the progressives have to rely on crazy right-wingers like DeLay and Coulter to drive people away from the Republican Party and into the ranks of the Democrats."

Moby, whose real name is Richard Melville Hall, traces his ancestry back to Herman Melville, author of the classic whale epic "Moby Dick."

I've never heard this moron's "music". But from the statements I've heard him make, he might be in contention for the "World's Most Stupid Person" award.

point made, I'm still amazed anyone would risk it at that price

never stopped men from engaging in homosexual activity either though, since such activity has been recorded in history since the beginning of written history, perhaps even before......

people with money and power have always been able to get away with things the common people can't, after all half of the Saudi princes should be dead since they must be the biggest procurers of call girls in the world.....

which English king was it, Edward the something, whose gay lover was essentially running the kingdom, to the chagrin of the Royal courtiers, they came to a nasty end didn't they?

His other statements on politcs show a mindset that could or should be libertarian, but seems to have the GOP confused with the democrats on ideas and other things.

I think that there are a lot of people who have that problem. My cousin and I had a huge blow up fight about the election where he said that I was a spoiled, rich college student who didn't know anything, and that was the only reason I was voting for Bush, and he wouldn't consider voting for anyone but Kerry. But then, when he actually talks about politics, he has many more right wing views than left wing. For example, against gun control, against affirmative action, wants lower taxes. He just doesn't get what the republican party is supposed to be about

When I have kids I am going to raise them Amish. It should be cheaper, and I won't have to fight them for playstation time.

If only I have read this 8 years ago...LOL!

well it is simple, Moby is a wimp so he's got the emasculated father figure down, he just has to marry a harridan dominating bitch as a mother who smothers the child, and you'll have a good chance at a gay child, right? is that for boys or girls though.....

I thought homosexuality was genetic. If it is truly genetic and can't be helped, how to you DO anything to MAKE a child gay? Molest them?

Such as sending them to sleepover at Michael Jackson's house.

But, but, but......

I thought you weren't MADE gay. I've always been told that you're BORN gay, as in it's encoded in your DNA structure. Right?

He just doesn't get what the republican party is supposed to be about

The one thing the democratic party has done so massivly well, is to make the entire debate about rhetoric and personalization while getting policy debates that offend and infuriate the majority off the table.

People that vote republican, vote for certain issues and causes, and beliefs, but a huge chunk (I don't want to say the majority of their voters without better proof) of the democratic party voters, do so out out of some kind "team sport loyalty".

Its bizarre, the GOP and the Democrats are not the Yankees and Red Sox, but the fanatism is just like a team thing, with big chunks of dem voters just voting for the party, and spinning anything to justify it.

I've even joked with some friends, that if Jesse Helms ran for senator of NYS on a democratic ticket and Paul Wellstone had run on the republican ticket, Helms would have had a higher number of knee jerk vote dem guys then Wellstone would have had knee jerk vote GOP guys.

The GOP really has to get out there and start educating voters on the just the basics of what their policy positions are, and start to cutting away the disinformation of the dems to muddy the issues.

What kind of misfit would wish a lifetime of unrepentanted sin on their child? Let's hope he and his friend "laura" don't ever procreate, especially together.

btw, what does soy milk have to do with anything? I thought in their world you can't "create" homosexuals.

Let's get Yoko Ono's opinion on all this, now. I'd rather listen to her so-called music than Moby's, anyway.

And what's all this about a 'smart gay son' instead of a 'big dumb hetero meathead'? Oh, I forgot, being gay makes you smarter.

Lev.20:13

[13] If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Mark.9:42

[42] And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Luke.17:2

[2] It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

LOL!

To be "gay" is the height of stupidity.

It's DENIAL of the obvious.

The parts just don't fit as they do in a heterosexual pairing.
