As I do with every single surname that comes up regarding the Schiavo case, or Judge Greer, I check the Mormon genealogical research site to see "where" that name is most common in this world.
Conigliaro, like Centonze and Schiavo finds it's greatest frequency in Palermo, Sicily.
The only way this makes sense is that it's an "honor killing".
To: pc93
Yeah, that's pretty obvious.

No, I just get sick of certain FReepers who seem to have an affinity for calling pro-lifers and conservatives 'fringers'.I get sick of certain FReepers who think that anyone who doesn't toe their line to every dot and tittle isn't pro-life or conservative.
By the way, did you make it to the D.C. Impeach Greer rally today? There wasn't much of a turnout at the one in Tallahassee.
To: Quaker
I still think Greer should be charged with Contempt of Congress, but I'm just an old fashioned fellow.

Fanatics, by their nature, do not show others respect. They get caught up in notions of some sort of mission to force others to do what the fanatic believes is right, and lose all sense of proportion. The Schiavo protest is an excellent example of this loss of any sense of proportion.

Well it's an honest error that we probably have all done at some time or other.
I agree that Catholic and Evangelical are not the same.

How you figure bearing false witness goes in the "Godly" column I'll never know, but the unending deceit is beyond revolting.
To: tutstar
I'm glad. It's almost as bad as confusing Evangelical with Reformed or Pentecostal.
To: EternalVigilance
If pro-lifers were silent, as you advocate, America would sink even faster into the leftwing, statist, pro-death abyss. There is nothing in my essay (Terry Schiavo), nor in either of the anti-abortion essays at my website, which may be linked from the Schiavo piece, which suggest that the foes of abortion, remain silent. Nothing! That is not the point of my comments.

Thank you for the link. It goes along with what I've been trying to say since this all started. The radicals and fringe of this cause will only end up destroying it.
To: Ohioan
I can see you had some sort of problem with the Allies' WWII "unconditional surrender" doctrine in Europe.
To: cyncooper
Would you like to provide one instance of when I have borne false witness, now that you have accused me of it.
Might be fitting to do so, don't you think?

I was not referencing the essay you are currently touting or your website.
I was going solely by your posts, which make vocal pro-lifers out to be fanatics.
Silence is not an option.

Just recently I read an article about "evangelical Catholics," although perhaps some here would argue that "Pentecostal Catholics" would have been a more accurate term.

Thank you for the courteous comment. We need to encourage courtesy and reason, if we are going to have any hope of achieving anything worthwhile.

You participate in and promote posts calling Christians non-Christians, pro-life people non-pro-life, and twist what others say and you want to know where you've borne false witness?
You do it repeatedly, with, as far as I can tell, malicious intent.
To: Quaker
Good for the judge!

Funny except Bush's judicial nominees most certainly have been held up more than clinton's.

A perfect description of Felos, Schiavo and Greer -- who demanded that the perfectly right thing for Terri to do was "Die, Baby, Die".
