My family used to call me Atilla the Hun so this move to the middle has them stunned. If it's moved me to the middle, I can only imagine the number of staunchly conservative voters our party may be losing. It's an unintended consequence and one that I hope doesn't bode ill for the Republicans in the future.

Hopefully this isn't true, and that we just get a lot more exposure to the right wing extremists as well as the far left agitators on Free Republic! We need people like you to take these people on occasionally, since your point is probably shared by the majority of the "lurkers" and a lot more people agree with you than you know. I lurked for a long time before I got brave enough to join in....keep up the good work! Battle when you can, but don't let the turkeys get you down!!
