This is a tempest in a teapot.

It is. It's also about being agenda driven, easily led by the paid opinion shapers on this site, and classic over-reach by the extremist right who thinks the president "owes" them and they can drive the party's agenda.

Lose the big tent Republican party and we'll never win another election.

You know, I am in COMPLETE DISAGREEMENT with Ms. Malkin, but there is no way on earth I would now call her a non-conservative or even worse, start calling her a morally bankrupt Jezebel simply because we disagree. Anyone who thought those jokes were tasteless were probably hearing it second hand or are so ensconced in their pure urban environments that a joke about some city dweeb mistaking a horse for cow would can only be translated as something dirty...because there is nothing in their pristine urban atmosphere that requires them to deal with anything more dirty than tkaing out the laundry. A good countrified joke and the wink-wink to the ladies in the audience was PERFECTLY in tune with the Classy Lady we know as Laura Bush.

Really, Ms. Malkin, I think you're a real firefighter, and I appreciate all that you do, but there are just some things you aren't equipped to take into consideration because you've been in the city for too long.

I have been noticing this kind of stuff more and more since around the first of the year...actually, since the Kid Rock brouhaha.

At first, I laughed it off, but as time rolls by and we see more and more of this, I am beginning to think that there really ARE folks trolling here just to try to make conservative Christians look bad, and others are just going along for the ride, for whatever reasons they may have. (I honestly don't care to reflect too much on THEIR motives)

I see it, I don't like it, but other than trying to point out their absurdities when I see it, I don't really know what to do about it besides gnash my teeth in frustration.

*a really long-winded version of I agree 100%* LOL
