Two days after one of the worst races of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s career, he was celebrating with 7,000 Anheuser-Busch wholesalers in Orlando, Fla.
No, it wasn't a celebration of a 35th-place finish. Instead, Budweiser, Earnhardt Jr. and Dale Earnhardt Inc. announced the signing of a contract extension for the beer-maker to sponsor the No. 8 Chevrolet.
Terms were not announced, but Tony Ponturo, vice president of global media and sports marketing for Anheuser-Busch Inc. said it was a "multi-year" deal.
