If I recall correctly, in the new 'celebration scenes' at the end of the Return of the Jedi on the DVD, you can hear Jar Jar yell "Wee-sa free!" while fireworks are going off on Coruscant.

It's entirely metaphorical. The real number varies wildly
from film to film, and year to year (esp. election years).
The point was to get people to think about where their
ticket dollar ends up. Of course, when you do that, you
are apt to dramatically reduce attendance at your local
movie hall, and cut down on media purchases and rentals.

Mitchell, may I ask you another question? Do they superimpose Hayden Christenson on Jedi at the end? I thought they had the older Anakin in that version?

Yup. It used to be the actor who played the old, bald, dying Anakin, and now in the DVD release it's Hayden.
